Mr. Max Müller to Sir Edward Grey.-(Received February 15.)
(No. 28.) (Telegraphic.) P.
CHINCHOW-AIGUN Railway.
Peking, February 15, 1910.
Please see your telegram No. 5 to Sir Claude MacDonald, dated the 11th February. The conditions on which the Japanese Government are prepared to agree to the construction of the railway have been communicated to the Wai-wu Pu by the Japanese Minister, without however, as he himself informs us, specifying the amount of the share in the financing, &c., desired by Japan.
M. Ijuin has promised to let me know the terms of the Chinese reply when received.
